NAPPD in Cooperation with MEST and KIPA Organized Training about Personal Data Protection

Prishtina, October 2nd 2013 Within Agency’s cooperation with other controlling subjects from the public sector, this time in close cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and Kosova Institute for Public Administration, the National Agency for Personal Data Protection, represented by is head Mr. Ruzhdi Jashari held a two-days training with representatives of education institutions. During his presentation, the Chief National Supervisor of the NAPPD made a Power Point presentation in front of those trainees, by informing representative of education institutions about the duties and responsibilities the Agency has; then about controllers’ obligations; on personal data and the legitimacy of their procession; types of personal data procession and so on. The attendees, among others, had the opportunity to get information about the history of the sole authority accredited for the protection of personal data in the Republic of Kosova, then about principles of data procession, its scope, duties of the Agency, to continue with the particular activity, such as inspection and control, responsibilities of supervisors, data subjects’ rights, etc.
