Agency marked the 4th anniversary of its establishment

In close cooperation with EU office in Prishtina, and realized through IPA Project, according to the already established tradition since its establishment, the National Agency for Personal Data Protection marked the 4th anniversary of its establishment.
Organization of this anniversary was characterized by a brief conference, and the host Mr. Ruzhdi Jashari gave a speech where he disclosed to the public the achievements of this authority, and the challenges ahead of them, other speeches were given by domestic and international public figures, such as Mr. Christof Stock from EU Office, then the Deputy Minister for European Integration Mr. Ramadan Ilazi, Assembly Member Mr. Nuredin Ibishi, and others.
At this conference, were given Certificates of Appreciations to five most dedicated data protection officers during this year, who represent public and private institutions. In addition, the Agency this year handed out the prize “Officer of the Year”, rewarding with a plaque the officer of this Agency Ms. Medlina Ademaj, for the remarkable dedication at work.
This event was facilitated by Mrs. Valmire Sahiti, and after the speeches, the guests were invited to a cocktail on the terrace in eight floor of Hotel “Sirius”, which was accompanied by the sound of piano and violin performed by two musicians from Music and Art School “Misban & Friends”.
Unlike other anniversaries, the Agency, in the light of the celebration of this anniversary, is also organizing another field activity on Thursday (2 July 2015) from 09:00 to 11:30, at “Zahir Pajaziti” Square, where the employees of the Agency will communicate with random passersby, to whom it will distribute promotional materials of the Agency, as well as a questionnaire with the purpose to research the public opinion regarding their knowledge about the scope of work of the Agency and the citizens’ rights on privacy.
