Mrs. Helen Larsson from the European Commission Visited the Agency

Chief National Supervisor Mr. Jashari, on Tuesday, had an introductory meeting with the representative of the European Commission Mrs. Helen Larsson
In this meeting, they discussed about the function of National Agency for Personal Data Protection, as the only mandated institution for the issue of protection of personal data.
Mr. Jashari, accompanied by his deputy Mr. Bekim Demiri, and by the General Director Mr. Bujar Sadiku, made a brief presentation on the work of the Agency during past four years of its operation, with special emphasis on the work that has been done on continuous citizens’ awareness, through different activities on the issue of data protection and privacy.
Mrs. Larsson asked some questions about the situation in which our institution is currently, then about legislation, and what did the Agency in its staff motivation, issue which directly affects the results of the work and general successes of institution itself.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Jashari expressed his gratitude to Mrs. Larsson for her visit, expressing as well the willingness for further cooperation between the two institutions.
‘Hoping that we’ll meet in January, on International Day of Privacy, I wish you success in your work, and I would suggest to the Agency to not stagnate in its development – rising from impacts that may have, whether political or others of second-hand’, declared Mrs. Larsson, among others.
