Inter-institutional Meeting with Law Enforcement Leaders on Preventing Personal Data Leaks

The Commissioner of the Information and Privacy Agency, Ms. Krenare Sogojeva-Dërmaku, held a meeting today with the Acting State Chief Prosecutor, Mr. Besim Kelmendi, the Deputy Director of the Kosovo Police, Mr. Fehmi Hoti, and the Chief Executive of the Police Inspectorate, Mr. Kushtrim Hodaj. The meeting aimed at enhancing institutional coordination for the prevention and immediate handling of personal data leak incidents.

A key point of discussion was the necessity to identify and hold accountable individuals who, by leaking information, harm the reputation of citizens and obstruct investigative processes. In this context, the meeting served as a starting point for concretizing joint inter-institutional actions focused on strengthening security mechanisms and personal data protection, as well as ensuring a coordinated response in addressing and preventing such cases.
