The Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Ms. Krenare Sogojeva-Dërmaku, participated as a panelist in the discussion titled “Improving the Banking Customer Experience and Compliance: Smart Digital Solutions for Updating Low-Risk Client Data”, organized as part of the second edition of Kosova Finance Forum 2025.
In her remarks, Commissioner Sogojeva-Dërmaku focused on the importance of balancing the digitalization of processes for updating client data with the principles of personal data protection. In this context, she called for every digital solution to ensure proper control over data processing and compliance with the Law on Personal Data Protection.
The panel, moderated by Mr. Petrit Balija, Chief Executive Officer of the Kosovo Banking Association, included high-level representatives from the financial and institutional sector, including Mr. Suat Bakkal (BKT), Mr. Blerim Camaj (ARC), Mr. Ilir Hasani (CBK), and Mr. Pavel Shust (IFC). On this occasion, Commissioner Sogojeva-Dërmaku thanked the organizers and fellow panelists for the discussion, emphasizing the importance of continued dialogue to ensure a secure and citizen-oriented financial system.
