The Information and Privacy Agency signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Support and Cooperation with the Kosovo Police

The Commissioner of the Information and Privacy Agency, Mrs. Sogojeva – Dërmaku and the General Director of the Kosovo Police, Mr. Mehmeti, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Support and Cooperation in order to receive support from the Police and mutual cooperation between the Police and the Agency within their scope of activity, in order to implement the Law on Personal Data Protection, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Police.

This cooperation agreement focuses on the exchange of expertise, experiences, as well as good practices in conducting inspections and controls, that process personal data; joint working meetings in accordance with the needs and context of specific complaint handling and evaluation procedures as well as the categorization of police escort cases; as well as cooperation between the two institutions in organizing personal data protection trainings for police officers who administer registers (database) containing personal data and trainings for Agency inspection officers.

The Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Mrs. Sogojeva – Dërmaku thanked the General Director Mr. Mehmeti for the establishment of this Memorandum of Understanding on Support and Cooperation and noted her expectations for the future.
