The Agency for Information and Privacy, in collaboration with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), has launched a series of regional workshops on the topic “Protection of Personal Data in the Healthcare System,” with healthcare professionals from the Republic of Kosovo.

The first workshop was held in Mitrovica, with the participation of 25 healthcare professionals from the municipalities of North Mitrovica, Zvečan, Vushtrri, Mitrovica, Skenderaj, and Zubin Potok. The participants included directors of main family centers, doctors, head nurses, nurses, as well as laboratory technicians.

In her opening speech, the General Director of the Agency, Lumnije Demi, spoke about the importance of privacy and the protection of personal data in the healthcare system in Kosovo. The main objective of the workshop is to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills for protecting personal data, ensuring that personal and sensitive data are handled with due care and protected from any form of misuse.
