“Personal Data Protection Week” – The Information and Privacy Agency starts its awareness activities for the protection of personal data

The Agency for Information and Privacy, on the occasion of the International Day for the Protection of Personal Data, which is marked on January 28, held a meeting with the Regional Water Company “Prishtina”, where the Chairman of the Board, Mrs. Teuta Ukshini Aliu, Chief Executive Mr. Arsim Fetahu, Company Secretary Mr. Avni Kastrati and the Personal Data Protection Officer Ms. Fexrije Berisha were present.

The application of best practices for billing in accordance with legal obligations for the protection of personal data and compliance with privacy policies were the main topic of discussion at the meeting. Commissioner, Mrs. Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku expressed readiness for cooperation with the Regional Water Company “Prishtina”, guaranteeing the Agency’s support in creating professional standards for the protection of personal data during the provision of services by the company to citizens.

In order to inform and raise awareness about the protection of personal data, during the week of personal data protection, the Agency will also carry out information activities with public institutions, non-governmental organizations and donors.
