Information and Privacy Agency starts ex officio inspection in the Municipality of Prishtina and the Central Election Commission

In the framework of fulfilling the obligations arising from Law no. 06/L-082 on Personal Data Protection, the Information and Privacy Agency has already started ex officio inspection in the Municipality of Prishtina and the Central Election Commission, extending the law enforcement oversight authority.

According to the Performance Plan for 2022, ex officio inspections will continue to be conducted throughout the territory of Kosovo, including the central and local level.

 

The Inspection Officers of the Agency, within the legal competencies, will inspect the legality of the processing of personal data, aspects related to data security, biometric data processing, international transfer, etc. Special focus during the inspection will be on the processing of personal data through the video surveillance system with camera (CCTV) in public spaces.

 

At the end of the inspection process, a report with the inspection findings will be compiled, in which the status of the processing of personal data will be described and depending on the findings, the IPA will issue final decisions.
