Commissioner for Information and Privacy Mrs. Sogojeva Dërmaku meets the President Mrs. Osmani

Commissioner for Information and Privacy Mrs. Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku held an introductory meeting with the President of Kosovo, Mrs. Vjosa Osmani.

The purpose of this meeting was to inform the president about the state of the Information and Privacy Agency, the challenges that await it, the objectives, and the possible cooperation between the Agency and the Presidency.

Among others, Mrs. Sogojeva Dërmaku informed Mrs. Osmani, for the history of the Agency, the latest developments in this institution, the priorities, the internal reorganization, as well as for other projects that he intends to realize in the future.

On the other hand, Mrs. Osmani, congratulating Mrs. Sogojeva Dërmaku, was interested in the level of privacy in Kosovo as well as the possibilities of misuse of personal data and the realization of the right to information. The Agency for Information and Privacy is an important state institution, which protects the indisputable right of the country’s citizens in these two areas, she added.

At the end of this meeting, the commissioner received support from the president, saying that “This agency will have the support of Kosovo institutions, in order to ensure that it will perform its work in accordance with the law and its mandate, which the citizens of the country to benefit from its work ”.

In the end, Mrs. Sogojeva and Mrs. Osmani agreed to deepen cooperation, as well as strengthen relations between the Agency and other institutions, local and international.
