The Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Krenare Sogojeva-Dërmaku, welcomed today in a meeting at the Agency’s premises President Atifete Jahjaga, where they discussed opportunities for cooperation between the Information and Privacy Agency and the Jahjaga Foundation in areas of mutual interest, namely the protection of personal data and access to public documents – as fundamental principles for building a democratic and inclusive society.
President Jahjaga commended the Agency’s work and commitment to promoting the fundamental rights of citizens in the digital era, emphasizing the importance of educating younger generations to raise awareness about the right to privacy and the protection of personal identity.
Commissioner Sogojeva-Dërmaku thanked President Jahjaga for her visit and support, expressing the Agency’s readiness to cooperate on joint initiatives that promote transparency, accountability, and the empowerment of citizens through the protection of personal data.
