Commissioner Mrs. Krenare Sogojeva Dërmaku held the next meeting with the Obudsperson Mr. Naim Qelaj

Plans for inter-institutional and public cooperation, in order for citizens to be informed as much as possible about their rights regarding privacy and the right to information were one of the key goals of this meeting.

The participants discussed the coordination, in order to prevent duplication of work, the revision of regulations, as well as shared information on the work they had done for the period when the Information and Privacy Agency was without heads.

Mrs. Sogojeva Dërmaku asked Mr. Qelaj that the mutual cooperation between these two institutions should be unavoidable since they are of special importance because their mission coincides with the same goal; providing opportunities for citizens to exercise their fundamental rights, in this case the right to be informed, and the right to privacy.

Also Mr. Qelaj expressed the readiness for cooperation in order to achieve the best and most successful objectives by exchanging experiences of each other.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on the implementation of joint projects related to the awareness of institutions, as well as the conduct of awareness campaigns.
