Prishtina, 09 December 2021
A delegation from the Commissioner for Information and Personal Data Protection from Tirana led by its head Mr. Besnik Dervishi, visited today the Information and Privacy Agency.
This marks the first official visit of the counterpart authority of Albania, which, in addition to a courtesy meeting at the Information and Privacy Agency, accompanied by Commissioner Mrs. Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku, held a meeting at the Ombudsperson.
Commissioner Dervishi used the opportunity of this first meeting to congratulate Mrs. Sogojeva-Dermaku for her new position at the head of the Agency, offering ongoing support and multidimensional cooperation in the field of freedom of information and privacy.
In a meeting with a warm inter-institutional atmosphere, Commissioner Sogojeva-Dermaku informed Commissioner Dervishi about the current situation of the Agency, the challenges it is facing, as well as the achievements since taking over office five months ago.
At the end of the meeting, the heads of both institutions pledged to deepen cooperation in practice at the level of professional staff in order to exchange mutual expertise.
It is worth mentioning that the cooperation of the Agency so far with the counterpart authority of Albania has been very fruitful, both at the bilateral level and thanks to regional and international forums.
