Marking the International Day for Universal Access to Information

The Agency for Information and Privacy (AIP), on the occasion of the International Day for Universal Access to Information, which is marked on September 28, starts the information week with the motto “Now is Easier”, which will be marked with activities in the seven most municipalities Kosovo.

This initiative of the Agency for Information and Privacy and nine civil society organizations (IKD, FOL, CIVIKOS, INPO, EC më ndryshe, CBM, KCIC, YMCA and Syri i Vizionit) aims only to inform citizens about their rights for Access to Public Documents, a right guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and the Law on Access to Public Documents

Planned activities during the Information Week:

Roundtable discussion on topics:

• Freedom of Information under the Supervision of the Agency for Information and Privacy (AIP – 10 min);
• Technology in the Service of Freedom of Information (NGO – 10 min); TBC
• Challenges of Implementing the Right to Access Public Documents (Journalism & NGOs – 10 min); TBC
• Law on Access to Public Documents – Strengths and Weaknesses (NGO ‘IKD’ – 10 min);
• Specific Cases of Denied Access (NGO ‘FOL’ – 10 min);
