Lecture at the Faculty of Law on the protection of personal data in the digital age

The Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Ms. Krenare Sogojeva Dërmaku, delivered a lecture to first-year law students at the University of Prishtina, as part of the course “Cyber Law”, led by Professor Donikë Qerimi.

Students had the opportunity to become more familiar with the work of the Information and Privacy Agency, specifically its mandate, mission, and the mechanisms through which the implementation of legal standards on personal data protection is ensured.

During the lecture, the Commissioner shared insights and practices from the Agency’s institutional work, highlighting the importance of personal data protection at a time when technology is rapidly evolving. She also addressed the challenges facing this field and emphasized the need for young legal professionals to be aware and well-equipped to confront threats emerging from the digital sphere.
