The Commissioner for Information and Privacy held an informative meeting with the Mayor of Hani i Elez Municipality

In the framework of informative meetings for the promotion of the right to protection of personal data and access to public documents at the local level, the Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku, today met with the Mayor of Hani i Elezit Municipality, Mehmet Ballazhin. .

The Commissioner discussed the importance of drafting Privacy Policies, the drafting of internal Regulations for the processing and security of personal data, as well as for the anonymization of personal data during the publication of documents produced by the Municipality. In addition, the Commissioner spoke about the Transparency Program, which aims to promote the proactive publication of public documents, as provided by the Law on Access to Public Documents.

With particular emphasis, the Commissioner discussed the importance of strengthening the role of officials responsible for the protection of personal data and access to public documents, so that they serve as guarantors for the full implementation of relevant legislation by the Municipalities.
