The Information and Privacy Agency Deepens Cooperation with the Central Bank of Kosovo in Protecting Personal Data in the Financial Sector

The Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Ms. Krenare Sogojeva-Dërmaku, was officially received today by the Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo, Mr. Ahmet Ismaili, to discuss the deepening of institutional cooperation in protecting citizens’ personal data in the financial sector and strengthening consumer rights.
In this context, the heads of both institutions agreed to undertake joint actions aimed at increasing the security and awareness of citizens when using financial services, through public education, exchange of professional experiences, and reinforcement of standards for the processing of personal data and financial transactions.
The Information and Privacy Agency highly values the commitment of the Central Bank of Kosovo to support and coordinate efforts toward a secure, transparent, and sustainable financial system, where personal data is handled responsibly and in full compliance with applicable legislation.
