“Personal Data Protection Week” – Informative meeting between representatives of the Information and Privacy Agency and representatives of the Central Electricity Distribution Company in Kosovo (KEDS)

The protection of citizens’ personal data, during the process of distributing invoices, was the focus of the discussion between the Information and Privacy Agency and the Central Electricity Distribution Company in Kosovo (KEDS).

During the discussion on the protection of personal data of citizens, respectively the implementation of privacy policies, the Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Mrs. Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku and Chief Executive of KEDS, Mr. Alpin Dogan discussed the creation of new invoicing procedures and the drafting of Privacy Policies based on the legal criteria defined in the Personal Data Protection Law.

Commissioner Mrs. Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku requested from the management of KEDS that the Company should take extra care in the protection of personal data when using new platforms for providing services to consumers as well as in international transfers of personal data of citizens.
