Informative meeting with the Mayor of the Municipality of Obiliq

In the wake of activities to increase transparency and protection of personal data at the local level, the Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku, held an informative meeting today with the Mayor of the Municipality of Obiliq, Xhafer Gashi.

This meeting constitutes an important step in ensuring the proactive publication of public documents, through the Transparency Program. Among other things, the Commissioner emphasized the importance of drafting Privacy Policies in order to inform citizens about the ways of processing their personal data and to empower the officials responsible for the protection of personal data and access to public documents, which are the main guarantors that the standards defined in the relevant legislation are being respected.
