Commissioner for Information and Privacy Participates as Panelist at Privacy Symposium 2025: Beyond the EU – Strengthening International Cooperation among European Data Protection Authorities

The Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Ms. Krenare Sogojeva-Dërmaku, participated as a panelist at the Privacy Symposium 2025 held in Venice, Italy, where the importance of inter-institutional cooperation beyond the European Union in the field of personal data protection was addressed.
During the panel titled “Beyond the EU: Strengthening International Cooperation among European Data Protection Authorities”, the Commissioner emphasized the importance of building sustainable partnerships to advance personal data protection and presented Kosovo’s achievements as a developing country striving for full alignment with European and international standards.
In this context, the continued cooperation of the Information and Privacy Agency with counterpart authorities from Croatia, Albania, Austria, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Latvia, and Estonia was highlighted. This cooperation has contributed to strengthening the legal framework, enhancing institutional capacities, and fostering joint initiatives for the protection of personal data
