The Commissioner of the Information and Privacy Agency continues the information meetings in the Municipality of South Mitrovica and in the Municipality of Vushtrri

In order to align the actions of the Municipalities with the legal obligations for the protection of personal data and access to public documents, the Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Krenare Sogojeva Dërmaku, today held two separate meetings with the Mayor of the Municipality of South Mitrovica, Bedri Hamza and with the Mayor of the Municipality of Vushtrri, Ferit Idrizi.

The Commissioner discussed the drafting and publication of the Privacy Policy and the internal regulation on security measures during the processing of personal data by the Municipalities. With particular emphasis, she called for the strengthening of the position of the official for the protection of personal data and their profiling to guarantee the full implementation of the right to the protection of personal data, especially during the digitization of services and the anonymization of public documents.

Among other things, the Transparency Program was discussed, which aims to promote the proactive publication of documents produced by the Municipalities, as well as the importance of officials responsible for access to public documents while ensuring this right.
