Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Mrs. Krenare Sogojeva Drëmaku, delivered a lecture on the importance of the right to information, the right to privacy, and the role and mission of the Information and Privacy Agency in the “Cyberwar, Robots and Future Conflict” class at RIT-K with Professor Xhavit Gashi.
During the lecture, she emphasized that access to public documents and the protection of personal data are essential for maintaining transparency and accountability in democratic societies, where the rapid pace of technological advances is making personal data more susceptible to misuse. Therefore, creating and maintaining strong frameworks for the protection of personal data and access to public documents is more imperative than ever.
Students had the opportunity to ask different questions and share their experiences and knowledge in these areas. The Commissioner concluded the lecture emphasizing that only together we can create a safer and more open society, built on the values of transparency and accountability.
