The Information and Privacy Agency and the Commissioner for the Right to Information and Data Protection of Albania deepen cooperation on personal data protection and access to public documents

The Information and Privacy Agency organized a two-day workshop with the participation of the Commissioner for the Right to Information and Data Protection of Albania (KDIMDP), Mr. Besnik Dervishi, and representatives of his institution, with the aim of exchanging experiences and strengthening cooperation between the two counterpart authorities.
During the sessions, discussions focused on current challenges and opportunities for enhancing institutional capacities, addressing topics such as:
🔹 The platform for identifying data breaches in the digital space;
🔹 The practical implementation of the transparency program as a key tool for strengthening institutional accountability;
🔹 Specific cases and best practices in personal data protection.
Commissioner Krenare Sogojeva-Dërmaku acknowledged Commissioner Dervishi’s commitment and wished him success in his new mandate, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts in the context of regional developments and European integration.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Dervishi expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and organization of this roundtable by the Information and Privacy Agency, while reiterating the importance of continuing dialogue and exchanging experiences between the two institutions.
