Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Mrs. Krenare Sogojeva-Dërmaku, held a meeting with Mr. Christopher Tullis, Digital Development Specialist for Europe and Central Asia and Mr. Vedran Lalić, Independent Consultant, to discuss the study of the World Bank for the evaluation of the legal infrastructure in Kosovo and the state of protection of personal data for the purposes of the use of ID and digital signature.
With special emphasis, the digitization of public services in Kosovo and the role of the Agency in this process were discussed. Commissioner Sogojeva-Dërmaku emphasized that, with the Agency’s commitment, AIP is now involved in all processes related to the provision of digital services. However, the need for raising the capacities of civil service personnel at the central and local level was emphasized, paving the way for further cooperation with the World Bank in strengthening these capacities and in the effective implementation of legislation in step with technological advancements.
