The Agency for Information and Privacy participates for the first time as an observer member in the plenary meeting of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), an achievement that reflects Kosovo’s commitment to harmonizing with European standards for the protection of personal data

The Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Ms. Krenare Sogojeva Dërmaku, during her speech, thanked the EDPB members and emphasized her gratitude, pledging that the Agency is committed to establishing and implementing the legal framework and best European practices meticulously, including Convention 108.

As Kosovo moves towards European integration, the status of observer member and the active participation of the Agency in such meetings provide opportunities to benefit from the best practices of European counterpart institutions and to establish sustainable standards for the protection of personal data in the country.
