Students of the last year of the Faculty of Law visit the Information and Privacy Agency

Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Mrs. Krenare Sogojeva-Dërmaku, together with the Head of the Division for Review of Complaints for Access to Public Documents, Mrs. Arbëri Hiseni, welcomed the final year students of the Faculty of Law, through the Kosovo Institute of Law (IKD) as part of the activities of the Legal Clinic.

During this visit, the students had the opportunity to learn closely about the role and mandate of the Agency in guaranteeing the implementation of the right to the protection of personal data and access to public documents. The Commissioner discussed the importance of access to public documents and the protection of personal data, evaluating them as essential for maintaining transparency and accountability in a democratic society.

At the end of the discussions, the Commissioner emphasized that rapid technological advances are making the protection of personal data more challenging in the face of risks of misuse, therefore she called on students to be more proactive and submit complaints to the Information and Privacy Agency, every whenever their right to protection of personal data and the right to access to public documents are not fulfilled.
