With the theme “Protection of Personal Data in the Field of Inspections,” the Agency for Information and Privacy, in cooperation with the General Inspectorate Office and with the support of GIZ Kosovo, organized a one-day workshop to raise awareness and improve inspection practices.
Aiming to increase awareness about privacy protection and ensure institutional transparency, the Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Ms. Krenare Sogojeva Dërmaku, together with the Agency’s inspectors, discussed with the Central Inspectorates about their duties and responsibilities defined by the Law on the Protection of Personal Data.
Key issues discussed included:
Publication of information on the official websites of the Inspectorates – importance and legal obligations.� Risk-based inspections, planning, and checklists.� Balancing the right to information and the protection of personal data – exceptions and limitations during publication.
This workshop contributed to the improvement of inspectors’ skills and knowledge, strengthening the commitment to a well-informed and protected society!
