Official Visit of the Ambassador of the Netherlands, Ms. Karin Boven, to the Agency for Information and Privacy

The Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Ms. Krenare Sogojeva-Dërmaku, welcomed the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Kosovo, Ms. Karin Boven, for an official meeting to discuss and assess cooperation through the MATRA project, which focuses on improving the protection of personal data and cybersecurity in various sectors in Kosovo.

During the meeting, Commissioner Sogojeva-Dërmaku expressed gratitude for the ongoing contribution of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in advancing standards for the protection of personal data. She emphasized the importance of this project for fulfilling the strategic objectives of the Agency, particularly in enhancing institutional capacities for the effective implementation of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data.

In this context, Ambassador Boven commended the Agency’s efforts to build a sustainable and secure system for data protection. She also expressed the continued willingness of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to support Kosovo on its path toward improving these essential mechanisms for its integration into the European Union.
