Bilateral meeting between the Information and Privacy Agency and the Personal Data Protection Agency of North Macedonia

The Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Ms. Krenare Sogojeva-Dërmaku, received the delegation of the Homolog Authority of North Macedonia, led by the Deputy Director of the Agency, Ms. Elena Veljanoska.

During the meeting, the Platform for the Identification of Personal Data Breaches was presented, as an instrument to strengthen supervisory mechanisms and ensure more effective protection of personal data. The discussions focused on the exchange of experiences and the opportunities for developing similar models in North Macedonia, with the aim of advancing common standards in this field.

Commissioner Sogojeva-Dërmaku congratulated Deputy Director Veljanoska on assuming her position, reiterating the importance of continuing dialogue and joint initiatives as a foundation for advancing personal data protection and strengthening transparency at the regional level.
