The Information and Privacy Agency, with the support of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, held an interactive workshop today with media representatives, focusing on the challenges, responsibilities, and legal obligations of the media in handling personal data in the digital age

In the workshop titled “Protection of Personal Data in the Media Sector”, the Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Ms. Krenare Sogojeva-Dërmaku, emphasized that the protection of personal data and freedom of expression are not mutually exclusive, but rather reinforce the professional and ethical integrity of media reporting.
Through concrete discussions and exchange of experiences, media representatives strengthened their understanding of legal and ethical boundaries in reporting, especially in cases involving personal data that may affect individuals’ privacy
