The Information and Privacy Agency (IPA) informs the public and all involved parties that it has received a notification regarding the circulation, across various communication platforms, of a document containing personal data of citizens who have applied for subsidies for school textbooks

This document includes the personal data of applicants (primarily parents) and their children, from the Municipality of South Mitrovica and the Municipality of North Mitrovica.
This document is being circulated in parent groups for the purpose of verifying applications. To ensure the protection of personal data and compliance with Law No. 06/L-082 on the Protection of Personal Data, the Agency calls for the following actions:
– No individual or institution with access to this document should further distribute or publish it, as doing so would constitute a violation of Law No. 06/L-082 on the Protection of Personal Data and could lead to legal consequences.
– All individuals and institutions in possession of a copy of this document are required to immediately delete/destroy it from all electronic devices and any data storage, whether physical or digital, where the document may be stored.
The Information and Privacy Agency emphasizes the importance of adhering to the provisions of Law No. 06/L-082 on the Protection of Personal Data. In cases of non-compliance with these guidelines, the Agency has the right and legal obligation to take punitive actions against individuals or institutions that violate the provisions of this law. Upholding responsibility for personal data is a legal and ethical obligation for each of us.
