The Memorandum of Cooperation between the Agency for Information and Privacy in Kosovo and the Agency for the Protection of Personal Data in Croatia is signed.

The memorandum of cooperation between the two authorities enables the exchange of information between the Agency for Information and Privacy in Kosovo and the Agency for the Protection of Personal Data in Croatia for the best practices on the implementation of European standards for the protection of personal data.

The Commissioner of the Agency for Information and Privacy Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku and the Director of the Agency for Personal Data Protection in Croatia, Zdravko Vukic, have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation for the exchange of experiences in the field of personal data protection between the two countries.

The activity was organized with the support of the Community Development Fund (CDF), implemented by the Non-Governmental Organization, Levizja FOL, within the study visit to the Croatian Agency for the Protection of Personal Data in which the Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Ms. Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku, General Director of AIP, Mrs. Lumnije Demi, Director of the Movement FOL Ms. Mexhide Demolli-Nimani and the Program Manager at FOL Ms. Nora Bajrami are participating.

Recognizing that the protection of personal data ensures the respect of basic human rights and freedoms, especially the right to privacy and non-interference in personal life, applying high international standards, the Commissioner of AIP, Krenare Sogojeva-Dermaku, and the Director of the Croatian Authority for Personal Data Protection, Zdravko Vukic pledged mutual cooperation in the exchange of experts, training programs and case visits, awareness campaigns and other activities of common interest.

The study visit to Croatia is focused on the exchange of experiences with the Croatian authorities regarding the protection of personal data and the management of specific cases, including best practices in the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
