IPA’s Commissioner Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku is participating in the “Risks and Compliance in the Digital Age” Conference in Croatia

At the invitation of the Croatian Authority for the Protection of Personal Data, Director Zdravko Vukić, Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Ms. Sogojeva- Dermaku is taking part in the Conference “Risks and Compliance in the Digital Age” organized on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Croatian Agency for Personal Data Protection.
In the presentation of Kosovo’s achievements in the field of personal data protection, Commissioner Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku said that Kosovo’s legislation is in harmony with European standards for the protection of personal data, while regional and international cooperation is very necessary. “Kosovo has adopted the rules of the GDPR in its legislation at the national level and the Information and Privacy Agency in the decision-making process for the protection of personal data applies high standards as defined by European regulations”.
Thanking the Croatian authority for the possibility of cooperation, Commissioner Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku, said that the cooperation of the authorities for the protection of personal data at the regional and international level will serve to build a successful future by ensuring decision-making with high international standards. for the protection of citizens’ personal data. Also, Commissioner Sogojeva Dermaku emphasized that the protection of personal data in the digital age of information technology development is challenging and presents a necessity to promote closer cooperation between the authorities for the protection of personal data at the regional and international level, in the exchange of best practices for personal data protection.
