Informative meeting with the Mayor of the Municipality of Drenas and the Mayor of the Municipality of Skenderaj

The Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku, today held two separate meetings with the Mayor of the Municipality of Drenas – Ramiz Lladrovci and the Mayor of the Municipality of Skenderaj – Fadil Nura, within the framework of informational activities to increase transparency and protection of personal data. at the local level.

The Commissioner discussed the Transparency Program, with the aim of encouraging proactive publication and appointing and strengthening officials responsible for access to public documents and officials for the protection of personal data, who are the main guarantors for the full respect and implementation of the standards of defined in the relevant legislation.

Among other things, the Commissioner also spoke about the protection of citizens’ personal data during the provision of municipal services, namely she emphasized the importance of drafting and publishing Privacy Policies, the drafting of internal regulations for the security of personal data processing, and for anonymization of personal data during the publication of documents issued by the Municipality.
